Hi! I am Kelly - mom to Aviva (3 years old) and Itai (1 year old).
At 8 weeks postpartum, I discovered Stroller Strides in an online search to find new activities to do with my little one in tow during my maternity leave. I was so excited to find a workout paired with quality time with Aviva. She would see other kids, while I started my first workout program postpartum. We didn't have childcare options right away, so it was the perfect combo. I loved it instantly. The workout was so accessible, I was able to make modifications to make it work for me and over time, as I got stronger, I could challenge myself more. The bonus was that I met my village. I could relate to the other mommas, as well get ideas and understanding from them when I faced challenges as a new parent. When I was on the fence about whether to leave my job to stay home or switch to part time, I was able to talk to moms with a variety of work situations and learn from their experience.
As an instructor, my goals are for:
- moms get stronger and are the good kind of sore the next day
- workouts are safe and accessible no matter where you are in your mama journey - whether pregnant, recently postpartum, or years past having your last
- moms feel connected and have a chance to socialize with adults
- everyone has fun
- you can get support in a no-judgment zone
- our kiddos get to socialize and grow up together
